1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ScanU ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ScanU is a visual regression testing platform that allows users to:

Capture screenshots of websites across multiple browsers and devices
Compare screenshots to detect visual differences
Manage baseline images and approve changes
Track visual changes over time

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Service to test websites you do not own or have permission to test
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the Service
Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise our systems
Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Subscription and Payments

5.1 Plans

We offer Free and Pro subscription tiers. Each tier has specific limits on tests, projects, and features.

5.2 Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its source code, design, and documentation, is owned by ScanU and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any screenshots and data you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCANU SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Frankfurt, Germany.
